New D8595 DELTRON® Epoxy Primer launched!
PPG are pleased to announce the introduction of the new D8595 DELTRON® Epoxy Primer to the range.
D8595 is light grey in colour, chromate-free and has good corrosion resistance over bare metal. It also offers good adhesion to a wide variety of suitably prepared substrates including bare and galvanised steel, aluminum, painted surfaces and fillers. It has a great final appearance with no ringing or mapping.
As a multi-mode primer, it can be used in many ways depending on the repair need:
- As a sandable filler/surfacer - with much better sanding properties than are usual for an epoxy primer, making it easy and fast to work with
- As an isolator - with a long pot life, so it can be mixed once and is ready to spray throughout the working day, saving time and minimizing waste
- As a wet on wet primer - for small spot repairs and rub-throughs
The new versatile Epoxy primer can be baked or air-dried overnight if required. It may also be used as a one-coat sealer under 2K primers and surfacers. It can also be overcoated with any Deltron 2K primer or topcoated with Deltron Progress UHS direct gloss or ENVIROBASE® High Performance basecoat.
