PPG Refinish UK & Ireland support local charity with REAL Rally participation
From Wednesday 17th May until Friday 19th May 2017, PPG will be partaking in the REAL rally
The REAL rally is a fantastic event where PPG and 29 other teams will travel their way across Europe to raise money for the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund. The Ethan Rees Linwood Memoria Fund helps support locally bulled children and also supports the creation of apprenticeship opportunities within the vehicle repair industry.
The REAL rally will leave Essex early on Wednesday 17th May and will be a 3 day tour of Europe. The tour will feature two overnight stops in Bruge and Le Touquet – Paris – Plage, before arriving back in England on the Friday.
PPG are proud to be a part of the REAL rally and the team will consist of Chris Pennell, Martin Laugharne and Neil Akers. All vehicles entered have been purchased and prepped for under £1,000 and the PPG vehicle will be branded in a similar style to a NASCAR.
Martin Laugharne, team leader for the PPG car, commented: “We are delighted to be a part of the REAL rally this year and are proud to be supporting a fantastic charity. The team have dedicated a lot of time to preparing the car and we are looking forward to an action – packed few days!”
