PPG Refinish UK and Nationwide Crash Repair announce a renewed joint sponsorship of Daniel Cammish in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2016.
Daniel Cammish returns to the championship with the support of PPG Refinish UK and Nationwide Crash Repair following his championship win in 2015 where he took eleven wins from 16 races. Daniel will race with the number one on the side of his Porsche 991 GT3 Cup car as he returns to defend his Porsche Carrera Cup GB crown.
The joint sponsorship between PPG and Nationwide was announced on Friday 15th February at Nationwide’s conference, supported by PPG. The continued sponsorship will see PPG and Nationwide logos on the Porsche along with dramatic new livery for the season. New for this season will also be the addition of a BROWN BROTHERS® Distribution logo to the car; the national paint and dry goods distribution solution owned by PPG.
Gethyn Davies, PPG Refinish UK & Ireland Market Director comments “The extremely long-standing relationship between PPG, Brown Brothers and Nationwide - our largest customer - is well-known as one of the strongest and most successful within the industry, and continues to grow at a phenomenal pace. The continuation of this winning formula into 2015 through joint sponsorship of Dan in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB; which has consistently delivered excellent live televised race action, is a natural extension of what we do together every day and I’m looking forward to another successful year for Dan.”
Michael Wilmshurst, CEO of Nationwide Crash Repair, said “'Dan and Redline Racing did a remarkable job for us in 2015 both on and off the track. We like to think we can spot winning teams and it's a pleasure to be involved with such a talented driver and well-loved team that consistently delivers outstanding results. Following our 2008 and 2010 Championship success with Tim Harvey, Nationwide has now won three Porsche Carrera Cup GB titles and we look forward to being at the forefront once again in 2016”.
For this season Dan returns to champion team Redline Racing for the eight weekend calendar, which features seven support races for the highly popular British Touring Car Championship as well as a guest appearance on the WEC calendar in April at Silverstone.
“It’s great to be back,” said Dan on his return. “It’s a great championship and I’m very happy to continue the association with Nationwide and PPG for a second year. I wanted to continue with them, we felt part of the team and so I’m looking forward to a strong and successful year.”
The championship Media Day takes place at Silverstone on Wednesday 23rd March with the first races at Brands Hatch on the 2nd and 3rd April.
