Following on from the success of the 2012 British Touring Car Championship season, PPG will continue their partnership with the MG KX Momentum Racing Team as Technical Paint Partner in 2013.
Led by esteemed racing driver, face of the sport and television personality Jason Plato, the MG KX Momentum Racing Team will go into the 2013 BTCC Championship season in two MG6 GT's with updated livery painted using high quality paint products provided by PPG. The updated cars were presented at Donington Park racing circuit by both drivers of the team; Jason Plato and his new partner Sam Tordoff.
The cars designs are a departure from last season's darker tones and are striking to behold with pure white bases that are sure to catch the eye and stand out from the pack on race day. The new livery is a reflection of the new hopes that Plato, Tordoff and the MG KX Momentum Racing Team have of finishing first when the 2013 Season comes to a close.
Danni Aiken, the Marketing Communications Manager for PPG UK & Ireland said of the renewed partnership:
"After a great first season as partner of the team, we thought it was only right to continue working in tandem with Triple Eight Race Engineering to provide something truly different for this season. PPG are proud to be a part of what looks like it may be a very successful season and we wanted the cars look to be a reflection of that and we think we've achieved it."
Team Principle of Triple Eight Race Engineering, Ian Harrison added:
"We are going into this season with quiet optimism and we're sure both Jason and Sam can better the results of 2012. What better way to show this optimism by entering the 2013 Season with our partners PPG at the forefront of our teams new look and colour scheme. PPG's products are of such a high quality and the cars are amongst the best looking ones I've seen in the BTCC. PPG, their expertise and their products are right in line with our ambitions and it's clear to see with one look at the new cars."
The 2013 British Tour Car Championship begins this Easter weekend at Brands Hatch with drivers Jason Plato and Sam Tordoff hopeful of starting the season with pole position in the first of ten race weekends.
