PPG support Alton Cars’ Apprenticeship Open Day
PPG provide support at Alton Cars' Appretniceship Open Day
On Saturday 11th March 2017 PPG will be supporting Alton Cars’ Apprenticeship Open Day. The day will be held on the group’s flagship Leeds site, with the aim of encouraging more young people to consider apprenticeships within the Refinish industry.
The Apprenticeship open day will have a range of businesses from the Refinish market, all of whom will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions on the refinish sector, with 20 apprenticeships guarenteed from the day. PPG will be providing interactive technical demonstrations on the day, covering skilled car repair techniques such as how to colour match and use a spray gun. PPG’s expert technical team will ensure that every attendee has the chance to experience applying paint through the latest advanced PPG technology.
Chris Pennell, PPG UK & Ireland National Technical Manager, commented:
“PPG are proud to be supporting the Alton Car’s initative to get the next generation interested in apprenticeships. We will be attending the day and providing interactive technical demonstrations, with the aim of inspiring younger people to become involved in the refinish industry”.
Alongside technical support, PPG have also organised for a Formula 1 racing car to be on show on the day. Neilson Jones, Alton Cars’ Group Commercial Director, commented on the support that Alton Cars have received from PPG:

With representatives from all areas of the vehicle repair industry, there will be the opportunity to discuss other areas of the business too, such as customer services and management roles. With this level of expertise, Alton Cars hopes to inspire attendees and provide them with a better idea of what career path they want to take.
