BSB Championship update

Oulton Park BSB racing results

Last weekend saw Oulton Park host round nine of the British Superbike Championship. Round nine consisted of three races for the Superbikes, which allowed Tsingtao Racing more time to work with Danny Buchan and adjust the Kawasaki ZX10R bike to suit his individual riding style.

Danny qualified for race one in 19th position, Tsingtao Racing believe that the final result did not reflect the excellent performance that was demonstrated on the track. Within race one Danny delivered some great consistent lap times and finished in 13th position, once again in the points table.

On Sunday, race two began and Danny delivered quicker lap times but unfortunately these fast times were not enough to move him up the finishing order. After lap nine of the circuit, the bike developed clutch slip, which meant that Danny could only aim for a finish. However, Danny was still able to finish within a points scoring position, which further consolidated his ranking in the championship.

The bike problem was a considerable disappointment for Danny and the team as a whole, prior to lap nine he was holding onto the front running pack and delivering a fantastic ride. However, the start of race three saw Danny get the good start he had been anticipating, he spent the first pace of the race fighting for 10th position. Sadly a crash, involving rider Jack Dixon, resulted in a safety car being called to the track which led to a race restart. After the restart, Danny was in 13th place, which is where he finished, providing another good point securing result in the Championship.
