PPG Sponsor the ICFM 2015 annual national member’s conference, hosted at the Williams F1 Conference Centre

PPG are pleased to announce their headline sponsorship for the Institute of Car Fleet Management 2015 annual national member’s conference, taking place on the 21st October at the historic Williams F1 conference centre, Grove, Oxfordshire.

The ICFM is the UK’s only independent ‘not for profit ‘organisation dedicated to furthering the education, recognising the achievements and advancing the profession of car fleet management.  It has 750 members, whom are in the main active fleet managers, working within their own corporate businesses.

Every year, the ICFM hold an annual convention for their members where they bring together industry experts and other opinion formers for a stimulating and thought provoking conference about the car fleet management profession. The conference itself is renowned in the Fleet Industry for having the best speakers, most thought provoking debate and deals with both current and future challenges in the Industry as well as opportunities to further expand the profession.

The Conference

Paul Hollick, Chairman of the ICFM declared the theme of the conference to be ‘Fleet 2020’ which will include “topics about the landscape today and in the future, looking at fleet management trends over the next five years”.

The agenda begins with a warm welcome from Paul Hollick ICFM chairman, followed by PPG guest speaker David Smith, National Sales Manager UK & Ireland. David will present PPG’s vast array of products and services that aim to improve process time and efficiency in bodyshops through innovation, sustainability and colour. How does this benefit the car fleet industry? David will talk about PPG owned brand activeweb, and how the leading internet based claims management and connectivity platform can benefit the car fleet industry, providing integration of all stakeholders throughout the complete claim and repair process. PPG will also be showing their sponsorship support to Williams and discussing the company’s strong relationship with the team in the development of painting the 2015 car. David will also be part of the panel debate.

After lunch, ICFM will present their ‘leadership in education’ awards ceremony alongside Phil Tufnell, former England cricketer and TV personality. A short presentation will then commence by the famous England cricketer, followed by guest speaker Paul McNamara, Technical Director at Williams Formula 1 team. The conference will then finish with a short speech from Paul Hollick.  

Once the conference has ended there will be tours of Sir Frank Williams' private Grand Prix Collection. Housing more than 40 of the team’s seminal race cars, it is the largest private collection of Formula 1 cars in the world, charting the team's 38 years of F1 history.

The annual national members’ conference will commence at 9.30am and finish at 3.30pm. ICFM members will be allowed to bring one guest with them free of charge.
