Nationwide & PPG - a win in both races in first outing for their sponsored car in Porsche Carrera Cup GB

A winning partnership

Dan Cammish, sponsored by Nationwide Accident Repair and PPG Refinish UK, won both Porsche Carrera Cup GB races at Brands Hatch on Sunday 5th April.

The two wins mean Dan leads the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship and he was also named the ‘Driver of the Weekend’

Dan said:

“It was a really good race for me - but it was quite tough in the car. It’s the first time the sun has come out for us and racing on different rubber compounds and I had a lot of understeer. As the race went on, my car got better and better. I could see Jelley was fast out the blocks but he made a slight mistake and it was just enough to give me the edge. He ran a bit wide at Graham Hill Bend and didn’t cover quickly enough. I pulled left early, he tried to come back over but I was already there. I hit the brake and downshifted an extra gear to make the move round the corner but I’d got him by then. Three safety cars was a nightmare but it gave me time to think and I got the move done.

“It’s great for my sponsors too, Nationwide and PPG. I wouldn't be here without those guys, and of course Tim Harvey who got me this drive.”

Dan will be hoping to continue his winning form at the next Porsche Carrera Cup GB round at Spa Francorchamps on 1-2 May
